With minimum effort and maximum style, PrtScr allows users to create quick and concise screen captures at the click of a button. Designed to accurately capture any on-screen activity, this great piece of freeware enables users to not only make full-screen, freehand or rectangle screen grabs, but also annotate them.

Once downloaded, PrtScr is easy to use; simply press the Print Screen button on your keyboard and PrtScr will provide you with several size options for your capture. Once you have selected the desired area with your mouse, PrtScr will then float the captured image on your desktop, allowing you to save it in one of several formats, attach it to an email or edit the image. 

Pros: Easy to use, allows custom hotkey, can capture mouse cursor.

Cons: Only compatible with simple screen captures, Print Screen function already present on most computers. 

Conclusion: Eliminating the need for multiple programs or fiddly window jumping, PrtScr offers a fun and effective solution to creating screen captures for use in other programs or emailing systems. It could be argued that those looking to regularly use the Print Screen function or capture screen grabs could simply use the inbuilt functions already present on most desktops and laptops; however, if you’re looking for a quicker, more precise program that also allows editing, PrtScr is your man. While the program only supports simple desktop and area captures, these functions are performed in a speedy and stylish manner; PrtScr is definitely worth a try.
